As part of the run up to the 2012 Olympics, volunteers are wanted to help promote sport in Cornwall.
Mark Lewarne, one of the leading triathletes in the County is part of the initiative and is helping to promote it. You can read more about it on his tricornwall blog entry HERE.
There is now an outline arrangement with Cornwall Council to take on management of the Bude sea pool from April on a long lease. This could permanently secure the future of the pool, but it does mean there is a massive amount of work to be done in the next few months.
Friends of Bude sea pool are urgently seeking extra hands to help with three key projects that must be fulfilled before the pool can open again:
*staff recruitment
*health & safety
*structural repairs
If you could spare some time and expertise in any of these areas, either short-term or on an ongoing basis, then that would be very much appreciated.
Contact friends of Bude sea poll or pop into the Seventh Wave Gallery on Belle Vue for a chat with Martyn Holehouse, FoBSP committee member.
If you’re not in a position to help at the moment, then perhaps you could help to spread the word – by posting this blog on social media sites, and so on. Just click the Facebook 'like' link or use the 'Socialize' links bottom right of this site.
Thanks for all your support,

News is that there will be a Falmouth triathlon in Cornwall this year which will be part of the Cornwall Grand Prix series. No more news on this as yet other than that One and All triathlon and cycle club are very much involved in the organisation. You can view some of the events added already via Explore > Events.
