The last event added to tricornwall by event organisers for the 2012 season is the Lands End 100, a cyclosportive event in its second year, held over varying distances from 100miles to 100km, to 40km to cover a wide range of abilities. Starting at St. Ives leisure centre, it takes a scenic route around Lands End and the Lizard Peninsula.
The bad news is that this successful event is now full. Are you taking part? You can find more info via this LINK, or login and add a comment to the event entry or this blog.
The last of the triathlon events to tricornwall by event organisers, the Wadebridge triathlon is this Sunday the 7th of October. A pool swim at the Wadebridge leisure centre, a fast and undulating out and back 15 mile time trial cycle, followed by a 5 mile trail run along the Camel trail, with a modest climb on the return to the finish. Having done the event in light winds and very strong winds, found the cycle to be a blast both times. True, I cycled out into the head wind, but the return made up for it. More details HERE
